If you are cutting the grass too short, then it may stress the grass of your lawn because excessive cutting can remove the nutrients making part of the grass that will make your grass brown. The best way to cut the grass is only 1/3 of its length at once. Do it regularly but never cut your lawn more than that at once.
What should be the ideal height of your lawn?
You need to make ensure that grass is tall enough in height to be mowed because too much cutting weakens the root system that is very important for the fertilizers and water absorption. This may lead to unhealthy lawn unless you fill the lawn with excessive fertilizers and water. The height that is ideal for the grass of your lawn is around 3 to 3.5 inches to maintain the health of the lawn.
